The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has approved 12983 weekly domestic flights for the winters, which is only 55.7% of the last year’s weekly flights. Winter Session will start from Sunday till March 22 next year.23307 domestic flights were approved every week for last year’s session.
These flights will be operated from 95 airports in the country. In the Coronavirus virus crisis, currently, the airline companies are allowed a maximum of 60 percent flights in the country.
The Indigo has the Highest Number of flights.
For the winter season, IndiGo has allowed 6601 domestic flights. Spicejet and GoAir have been allowed 1957 and 1203 domestic flights, while government carrier Air India and Alliance Air will operate 1126 and 660 domestic flights.
