Today in morning time defence minister Rajnath singh performed “Shastra puja” on the occasion of Dussehra. At the Sukna-based headquarters of the Indian Army’s 33 Corps in Darjeeling district of West Bengal in Sikkim Rajnath singh performed shastra puja with soldiers and along with Army chief General MM Narwane. After puja ceremony Rajnath singh said “India wants that the Indo-China border tension comes to
an end and peace will preserved throughout the country. Also, I am confident that our army will not let anyone take even an inch of our land.”
Rajnath singh was scheduled to perform the puja at Sherathang. This is a high-altitude border area near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China in Sikkim, but due to bad weather.
After the end of the puja ceremony Rajnath singh inaugurated a new road in Sikkim through video-conference from Sukna. Rajnath singh also memorize the courage and sacrifice of soldiers in galwan valley.
