Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan said on Friday that after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the way the image of the Hindi film industry is being tarnished, she has been deeply hurt. During an event organized through digital medium, Kareena said that the kind of insensitivity being displayed towards the film industry is disturbing.
Dutt said that after the death of Rajput, the film industry unexpectedly started pointing fingers and he felt that Bollywood would have to pay the price. Asked if he thinks the cinema world needs to be more vocal and fearless, Kareena said, “Whether you believe it or not, the industry is being targeted. If you say something, you will be criticized, not say it, yet you will be targeted.
He said that the actors were being trolled for having their opinion on any issue, for this reason we thought it okay to keep quiet. He said that it is ironic that the image of the film industry which wants to entertain only, is being made as if it is not a place to live.
Kareena said, “If the actors do not want to speak then it makes sense because see how trolling is being done without reason.” He is actually spreading hatred and negativity in the entertainment industry. We are here to entertain our fans. We are not here to spread hatred and negativity. “
