Union Minister of State for North Eastern Region Development (Independent Charge), Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the new initiatives like Mission Karmayogi and Commencement for Civil Services in the country The vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for good governance is visible.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the 95th Foundation Course at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), he said that this training attained its true quality in adverse conditions during the crisis of Corona epidemic.
Expressing satisfaction over the fact that 136 out of 428 officer trainees were women in this foundation course, i.e. 32 percent, Dr. Jitendra Singh said that women empowerment gained momentum in the last 6-7 years since Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took office.
He said that the presence of 245 officers from the engineering background will serve good-governance practices as this government has launched pioneering schemes with various specializations that require special expertise like Ayushman Bharat, Soil Health Card or Promotion of Inland Waterways. .
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the officers have the opportunity to become the makers of New India. The foundation of the new India was laid by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. He said that in the last five to six years, many innovative steps were taken by the Prime Minister to give a new look and direction to the bureaucracy.
He specifically mentioned the commencement of three months of central government service for IAS officers early in his career, a few years ago and said that it has created capacity.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that in line with the objectives of Mission Karmayogi, online pre-foundation course was started in the 95th Foundation Course. He praised the new modules in the Foundation Course on Social Inclusion.These include gender, child, disability and urban labor force. These include experiential activities such as Breaking the Barriers, Power Walk and travel to nearby workplaces and locations.
He said that the Common Foundation Course (CFC) -Rabha started as a part of the 94th Foundation Course in 2019, with a vision to enable the authorities to be able to lead change and work seamlessly.For the 95th Foundation Course in 2020, 428 participants of various services started the Foundation Course from October 12, 2020. This year due to the Kovid epidemic, the subject-related exercise – ‘Rambha -2020’ was conducted from October 14 to October 31, 2020. In it, experts and global thinkers shared their knowledge and experience on this year’s theme – “Governance in India @ 100”.
LBSNAA Director Dr. Sanjeev Chopra said in his address that learning management system (LMS) was used in the academy to conduct online sessions. He said that the Prime Minister’s Vocal for Local Campaign has been included in the course.And there are new things like co-learning in history projects and other subjects. He said that this batch has the ability and strength to deal with adverse situations like corona. He wished the success of Officer Trainee.
Dr. Jitendra Singh also gave the President’s Gold Medal and Certificate for Best Officer Trainee. He also laid the foundation stone of the Government Primary School in Charleville, Mussoorie. A brief movie made by the officers was also shown on the occasion.
