What happened at KBC?
The episode of KBC-12, which aired on October 30, was a Karmaveer special episode. It was attended by Crime Patrol serial host Anoop Soni and Bejwada Wilson, who changed the lives of millions of scavengers. As for the 11th question for 6 lakh 40 thousand rupees, Amitabh asked,
“On 25 December 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar and his followers burnt copies of which scripture? a. Vishnu Purana, B.V. Bhagavad-gītā, C. Rigadeva, D. Manusmriti. ”
Bezwada Wilson responded to this by D. Manusmriti. After this Amitabh Bachchan asked him in his sticky style ‘Shure, lock it up?’. If the correct answer was everyone clapped. After this Amitabh said,
“In 1927, Dr. BR Ambedkar condemned the ancient Hindu text Manusmriti to ideologically justify caste discrimination and untouchability, and he also burned copies of it.”
Bezwada Wilson said on this that if I do this work today, I will be arrested. Wilson’s family used to do manual scavenging in Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka. Wilson has been awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award.
